Rohstoffe performen gut
Die Renditen der Rohstoffe im Jahr 2021 waren die besten seit über einem Jahrzehnt. Ursächlich wirkten vor allem die enormen fiskal- und geldpolitischen Anreize. So stieg der Bloomberg Commodity Spot Index im vergangenen Jahr um 27 Prozent an. Dies war der größte jährliche Anstieg seit der Finanzkrise im Jahr 2009. Damals sorgten Regierungen und Zentralbanken für viel frisches Geld. Besonders gut performt haben in 2021 die Energiewerte wie Erdgas, Erdöl oder Kohle. Aber auch Zink erreichte ein Plus von rund 30 Prozent oder etwa Kupfer stieg um deutlich mehr als 20 Prozent im Preis. Höhere Kosten kommen bei den Verbrauchern an
Die Inflation ist im Euroland wieder nach oben gegangen, ein mehrjähriges Hoch ist zu verzeichnen. Mit fünf Prozent lagen die Inflationsdaten für den Dezember 2021 auf dem höchsten Wert seit 1985. Lebensmittel und Waren sind teurer geworden, denn Transportkosten sind gestiegen und es gab Knappheiten. Die ING Bank geht davon aus, dass vor allem die Inflation antreibenden Öl- und Gaspreise ihren Höhepunkt wohl erreicht haben. Jedoch ist die Inflation bei den Industriegütern (ohne Energie) in den vergangenen zwei Jahren von zwei auf 2,9 Prozent gestiegen. Higher costs hit consumers
Inflation has started to rise again in the euro area, a multi-year high has been recorded. At five percent, inflation data for December 2021 was at its highest level since 1985. Food and goods have become more expensive as transport costs have risen and there have been shortages. ING Bank believes that oil and gas prices, in particular, which are driving inflation, have probably peaked. However, inflation in industrial goods (excluding energy) has risen from two to 2.9 percent over the past two years. This shows that costs are now increasingly being passed on to consumers. Commodities perform well
. The returns of commodities in 2021 was the best in over a decade. The main reason for this was the enormous fiscal and monetary policy stimulus.
