Gold and silver stand the test of time
Gold and silver retain their value over time. And in the form of coins, they often lie dormant in hiding for centuries. Once again, an old coin treasure has been discovered, this time in Germany. Construction workers found 285 silver coins, probably from the 17th century, hidden in a ditch. They probably belonged to a rich mayor. They dated from 1499 to 1652 and were large silver coins, some still minted by the Holy Roman Empire and some from abroad. The treasure was presumably hidden after the end of the Thirty Years‘ War. The mayor in question had also hidden more than 2,500 thalers and 500 ducats in various rooms…

Gold und Silber sorgen für Werterhalt über die Zeit. Und in Form von Münzen schlummern sie oft Jahrhunderte in Verstecken. Wieder einmal wurde ein alte Münzschatz entdeckt, diesmal in Deutschland. Bauarbeiter fanden 285 Silbermünzen, wohl aus dem 17. Jahrhundert, versteckt in einem Graben. Vermutlich gehörten sie einem reichen Bürgermeister. Sie stammten aus den Jahren 1499 bis 1652. Es waren großformatige Silbermünzen, teilweise noch vom Heiligen Römischen Reich geprägt, teilweise waren sie aus dem Ausland. Vermutlich wurde der Schatz nach dem Ende des Dreißigjährigen Krieges versteckt. Der besagte Bürgermeister hatte außerdem in verschiedenen Räumen seines Hauses mehr als 2.500 Taler und 500 Dukaten versteckt. Immer wieder kommt es zu solchen Funden.…

Die Halbleiternachfrage ist also ein Indikator für den Zinnbedarf und die Nachfrage aus diesem Bereich steigt gerade. 2011 war das Reserve-Produktions-Verhältnis von Zinn das niedrigste aller Metalle.
