Cooperation agreement on climate-friendly ‘turquoise’ hydrogen production signed Joint investment in methane pyrolysis pilot project Cooperation follows recent investment in European hydrogen start-up HiiROC Wintershall Dea and VNG AG will cooperate more closely in the field of hydrogen in the future, and are planning to build a facility to produce climate-friendly ‘turquoise’ hydrogen as a first step. The two German based energy companies have signed a cooperation agreement to this effect. Kooperationsvertrag zur Herstellung von klimafreundlichem „türkisem“ Wasserstoff Gemeinsame Investition in Methanpyrolyse-Pilotprojekt Kooperation folgt der kürzlichen Investition in europäisches Wasserstoff-Start-up HiiROC Wintershall Dea und die VNG AG wollen beim Thema Wasserstoff zukünftig enger zusammenarbeiten und planen in einem ersten Schritt den Bau einer Anlage zur Herstellung von klimafreundlichem „türkisem“ Wasserstoff. Die zwei in Deutschland ansässigen Energieunternehmen haben einen entsprechenden Kooperationsvertrag unterzeichnet. Q2 2021 results: strong financial performance and continued progress on our strategic priorities
Wintershall Dea, Europe’s leading independent gas and oil company, today reported on its Q2 2021 results: Operational performance was strong, with Q2 production of 613 mboe/d, despite significant planned maintenance. As a result, H1 production was 636 mboe/d, on track to achieve tightened full year guidance of 630-640 mboe/d. Financial performance was also robust, with EBITDAX up 140% year-on-year at €636 million and adjusted net income up 93% year-on-year at €168 million. Having reduced net debt by over €2 billion year-on-year, Wintershall Dea has brought its leverage back to within its target range of 1.7x.
