Change in the Rhenus Management Board

Karsten Obert will be appointed as member of the Rhenus Management Board as of 01.01.2021 and will be responsible for the busines fields Automotive and Warehousing Solutions. He will take over the activities from Michael Brockhaus.

The Supervisory Board of the Rhenus SE & Co. KG has appointed Karsten Obert as Member of the Rhenus Management Board as of January 1, 2021. Within the board he will particularly assume responsibility for the development of the business fields Automotive and Warehousing Solutions. „I am very pleased that we have succeeded in winning Karsten Obert as member of the Management Board of the Rhenus Group. With his many years of experience in the management of a global automotive supplier and his responsible activity in a leading e-commerce company, he knows our customers and their needs. I am convinced that Mr. Obert will complement and strengthen Rhenus very well and can set important new impulses in its management function for the business fields Automotive and Warehousing Solutions” says Dr Marco Schröter, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Rhenus SE & Co.KG.

After nearly 20 years as member of the Rhenus Management Board, Michael Brockhaus decided to quit his board activities on March 31, 2021. Michael Brockhaus started as CFO in 2002 and managed the areas of Warehousing Solutions und Automotive since 2008. In this time, the Rhenus Group was able to increase their turnover fivefold and continue to position themselves globally. Mr. Brockhaus will remain closely connected with the family-owned company Rethmann as future member of the Saria Supervisory Board.

Karsten Obert is 45 years old, married and has 2 children. He will manage his responsibilities from the Rhenus-headquarter in Holzwickede, North Rhine-Westphalia.
