Öko-Strom in Gütersloher Rechenzentren von Arvato Systems
Seit dem 1. Januar bezieht das IT-Unternehmen Arvato Systems für den Betrieb der Rechenzentren am Standort Gütersloh ausschließlich Ökostrom der örtlichen Stadtwerke, der aus Wasserkraft erzeugt wird. Im Rahmen der Zusammenarbeit werden gleichzeitig Umweltprojekte in der Region gefördert. Zudem tragen zahlreiche weitere Maßnahmen in den Rechenzentren des IT-Dienstleisters dazu bei, den Stromverbrauch weiter zu senken. Arvato Systems bezieht für seine Rechenzentren am Gütersloher Standort An der Autobahn seit Anfang des Jahres ausschließlich Strom aus erneuerbaren Energiequellen von seinem örtlichen Versorger. Dafür setzt das Unternehmen auf Ökostrom von den Stadtwerken Gütersloh, der aus Wasserkraft erzeugt wird.
