Softing Automotive hat mit Wirkung zum 1. Mai 2026 das Geschäft der WEIDITEC GmbH in Ingolstadt übernommen und baut damit ihre Aktivitäten im Automotive-Umfeld gezielt weiter aus. Mit diesem Schritt erweitert Softing Automotive ihre Präsenz nicht nur mit eigenen Büros und Werkstätten in Ingolstadt, sondern baut ihr bestehendes Portfolio um zusätzliche Kompetenzen und Technologien im Bereich Automobil-Elektronik, insbesondere für Entwicklung, Test und Integration weiter aus. Softing Automotive Electronics, a 100% subsidiary of Softing AG, has been commissioned by a North American manufacturer of special vehicles to supply a complete package for the creation of a diagnostic system to service its vehicles. The contract consists of licenses for the Softing TDX modular system, a maintenance contract for 5 years, services to adapt to the special requirements in the servicing of the vehicles as well as hardware for connecting to the vehicles. Over the next 5 years, a turnover of significantly more than EUR 3 million is expected. The majority of revenue is attributable to software licenses and software maintenance fees. Softing Automotive Electronics, eine 100%-Tochter der Softing AG, wurde von einem nordamerikanischen Hersteller von Sonderfahrzeugen mit der Lieferung eines Gesamtpakets zur Erstellung eines Diagnosesystems für den Fahrzeugservice beauftragt. Der Auftrag besteht aus Lizenzen für das Softing TDX-Baukastensystem, einem Wartungsvertrag über 5 Jahre, Dienstleistungen zur Anpassung an die speziellen Anforderungen im Service der Fahrzeuge sowie Hardware zur Verbindung mit den Fahrzeugen. Über die nächsten 5 Jahre wird mit einem Umsatz von deutlich mehr als 3 Mio. EUR gerechnet. Der wesentliche Anteil des Umsatzes entfällt auf Softwarelizenzen und Software-Wartungsgebühren.
