With today’s publication of the new EU Toy Safety Regulation (“Regulation (EU) 2025/2509 on the safety of toys and repealing Directive 2009/48/EC) in the Official Journal of the European Union, the comprehensive reform of European toy legislation has been officially completed. After the European Parliament confirmed the regulation on 25 November, it will now enter into force 20 days after publication. Manufacturers, distributors, importers and other economic operators will have a transition period of 54 months, with the new regulation applying from 1 August 2030. Zwei spannende und informative Tage erlebten mehr als 270 Teilnehmer der „Fachtagung Homologation“. Ausgerichtet wurde die renommierte Veranstaltung von TÜV SÜD-Experten, die das Forum zum Wissenstransfer über alle Fragen zur Typprüfung von Fahrzeugen kontinuierlich seit dreizehn Jahren allen Experten und Expertinnen aus Behörden, Prüforganisationen und Industrie anbieten. Vierundzwanzig Fachvorträge vermittelten die neuesten Entwicklungen in der EU-Gesetzgebung, den UNECE-Regeln und den Genehmigungsverfahren in Deutschland.
